MELBOURNE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- A spokesman with the Melbourne Fire Department says a 92-year-old woman pulled a gun on two Melbourne Fire Department paramedics on Saturday after they responded to her home to do a well-being check.
"A friend had called the emergency services about 11:30 a.m. to check on the woman who had been released from the hospital on Friday," said Fire Chief Greg Anglin. "Melbourne police arrived at the location in the 2700 block of Wickham Road and disarmed her," Anglin said.
The woman was given an evaluation before being taken to the Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
"We understand that due to her age and medical condition, the Melbourne Police are not pursuing any criminal charges," said Anglin.
