Sgt. Steve...I couldnt agree more. This photo supports my belief that a precision, medium range weapon does not need to be in the hands of every officer. Some just dont have the skills, even with hours of instruction. Sadly, this is the case with my dept. as several officers who have been issued AR's cannot pass the long range qualifying course. What was our dept.'s response? We just dont shoot long range anymore. Nice, huh? I guess our depts. desire to keep officers on patrol, like the above female, is so great that it clouds their ability to think objectively.

I recall reading this in a paper, it was a armed standoff and I believe the offender was later shot and killed. So standing out like that was really careless. I was being nice and did not want to say it was Stupid!
