John Miller and Dane Rockstead, who are both 18, are charged with animal cruelty. Police say they duct taped a goose and brought it to school. The two attend Wayzata High School, in Plymouth, Minnesota. Investigators say the two had the bird for a couple of days before bringing it to school in a backpack. They say the teens shot the goose with a paint ball gun, put a net around the bird, and kept it in a kennel. Students who saw the goose didn't think the prank was funny. The school district has disciplined the students but they may have to pay a debt to society. Each could be fine as much as $1,000 and serve up to 90 days in jail. Experts say birds that are abused like this usually die, so they think this particular goose is very tough. A local Humane Society nursed the bird back to health, and it will be released into the wild. Two high school seniors are in trouble for a prank few found funny.
