VT Drunk Kills Stepson in Hit-Run |

Photo: drunk Luther: WCAX.com Cabot, Vermont Vermont State Police have arrested a man and charged him with killing his stepson in a hit and run accident. 46-year-old William Luther of Cabot is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death resulting, and driving while under the influence with death resulting. Police say he has confessed to accidentally hitting 27-year-old Jason Bear with his vehicle late Sunday night as Bear was walking along Route 215. Bear's body was found along side the road Monday morning. Luther, who is Bear's stepfather, reportedly told police he was drunk at the time of the accident. His vehicle was seized from a garage in Williamstown. Luther will be in court Tuesday afternoon to face the charges.
