WDSU-TV NEW ORLEANS Saints player Bobby McCray took to his Twitter account late Tuesday to talk about his arrest on drunken driving charges, but then apologized Wednesday for those comments. In postings that have since been taken down, McCray said he was trying to deal with a "bogus charge of DWP ... driving with Pizza." He said that his fiancee was feeding him pizza while he drove.McCray was arrested early Tuesday morning on the Carrollton overpass on Interstate 10. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless operation of a vehicle and driving without registration.McCray expressed frustration with the New Orleans police officer who arrested him, calling him "a short guy with (a) Napoleon complex," and saying the officer was "ranting and raving."But McCray apologized for the postings in a statement Wednesday afternoon."I regret that my private messages were unintentionally posted on Twitter," he said. "I have respect for the men and women who serve the New Orleans Police Department and I never meant to convey otherwise. My attorneys are now handling the matter and I have faith that the legal process will rectify the situation in my favor."
