TUCSON - A legally-blind woman involved in an unsuccessful carjacking attempt at a Tucson pharmacy was sentenced to two years in prison Thursday.
Pima County prosecutors say 18-year-old Tiffany Twist received the least amount of prison time possible under her existing plea agreement.
Authorities say a Tucson man pulled into the drive-through pharmacy of a Walgreens last April 23 to fill a prescription when a woman later identified as Twist tapped on his window with a gun and told him to give up his car.
Instead of complying, the man reached into his center console, got out his .9 mm handgun and shot Twist.
Prosecutors say Twist pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery and could have received a maximum sentence of 5 1/2 years in prison.
