WATCHVIDEO A young couple who dropped rocks off a railroad trestle onto more than a dozen cars on Interstate 5 were sentenced to four years in prison on Tuesday. Amanda L. Madison, 18, and Joshua N. Sizemore, 24, were arrested May 25 for throwing rocks from the trestle near Bridgeport Way onto 14 vehicles, including the cruiser of a top commander at the State Patrol. One man was injured when a rock crashed through a vehicle's window and bruised his arm. In Pierce County Superior Court on Tuesday, the pair pleaded guilty to three counts each of second-degree assault and malicious mischief. They were initially each charged with 14 counts of assault but, in exchange for Madison and Sizemore pleading guilty, prosecutors dropped some of the charges and agreed to the 48-month sentence. Both will receive credit for five months they've already served. Sizemore and Madison entered Alford pleas, meaning they don't admit guilt but realize they would likely be convicted if the case went to trial. Both apologized and said they didn't intend to hurt anyone. Investigators said the pair told them that they were on the railroad trestle tossing rocks and playing a midnight game of what they called 'Sex me,' where you take off clothes depending on which headlights are out on passing cars. Troopers say it was apparent that Madison was losing the game -- she was arrested in just her underwear. In an interview from jail earlier this year, the two said the stripping game began without any rock throwing, but they got bored and started dropping rocks on passing cars. "I didn't think it was deadly, I thought we were just hitting roofs and stuff," Sizemore said. Madison said the game was her idea. "I didn't expect just kicking it and having fun and sitting on a bridge watching cars go by, waving at them to turn into throwing rocks," she said. "I never meant to hurt them."
