An alleged drug deal in a small bar in West Toledo, Ohio, developed into an altercation which resulted in gunfire, according to local media. No one was injured during the shooting, which took place at 11:57 p.m. on Thursday at the Route 66 Kitchen, on North Westwood Avenue. Close circuit television pictures from the scene show a fight breaking out, bar patrons running from the bar and gunfire being exchanged. One man holding a gun is seen sheltering behind a pool table and returning fire. The conflict was said by local media to have involved at least five gunmen. The bar is situated close to the University of Toledo's Scott Park Campus and the police department's Scott Park substation. Police were trying to decipher what occurred in the bar leading up to the gunfire. The five suspected shooters have yet to be identified -- the CCTV video was handed out to the media in the hope that someone may recognize the suspects. According to local media reports, Deputy Chief of Toledo Police Department Don Kenney said the incident appeared to begin when one suspect attempted to sell marijuana. He said that a bar employee who acted as security told the man to leave. That initial interaction led to a fistfight, and subsequent gunfire. Police found 17 shell casings at the site but believe at least 20 shots were fired because one of the men had a revolver, which does not eject shell casings.
