Dateline: ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL Orlando Sentinel A 6-year-old in Altamonte Springs saved his father's life this morning when he dialed 911 after worring that his father would not wake up, according to Altamonte Springs police.
Police responded to Fenton Place at about 7:25 a.m. today following the 911 call by the 6-year-old. During the call, the boy told the dispatcher his "daddy won't wake up," according to Altamonte Springs Senior Police Officer Robert C. Pelton.
The boy also said his father was sick and needed help, but he did not know why. Police responded and got the man the medical treatment he needed.
"Due to the quick thinking and by placing the call to 911, the young male was able to save his father's life," Pelton said.
