To the Pierre Police Department's two newest Public Safety Dispatchers Amanda Robey (left)

South Dakota Two Week 911 Telecommunicator Certification Class.
And welcome back to our returning Public Safety Dispatcher Susan LaFave.

The mission of the Pierre Police Department is to work
in partnership with the community to deter crime, reduce
fear, and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

We are dedicated to the accomplishment of our mission in
the protection of life and property by treating all citizens
with courtesy and respect while upholding the Constitution,
the laws of the State of South Dakota , and the ordinances of
the City of Pierre.

We are the community and the community is the Pierre Police Department

the quality of life.

The Department embraces the philosophy of community-based
